FOR THE BRIDE

BRIDGE ARTERNOON IN NAPIER A delightful bridge afternoon was given in Napier by Miss Joan Campbell and Miss Madge Newton, for Miss Violet Herbert, who is to be married shortly. Also the tea took the form of a gift afternoon, and the drawingroom of Mrs. Campbell’s house was a gay and lively scene when the many intriguing looking parcels were opened by the bride-to-be. Many most charming presents were received, for which Miss Herbert cordially thanked her friends. A delicious tea was handed round and much enjoyed by all. Those present included:—Miss M. Campbell, Mrs Morson (nee Miss Bradley), Miss Una Loudon, Miss Mary Cornford, Miss E. Barry, Miss G. Russell, Miss Una James, Miss G. von Dadelszen (Masterton), Miss Violet Herbert, Miss R. Ringland, Misses C. and S. Moore, Miss N. Vaulier, Miss M. Morrice, Miss B. Moffatt.
