MURDERS 19-YEAR OLD GIRL. “ORDERED TO PURIFY THE WORLD.’’ (Received 1. 8.50 a.m.) Paris, September 30 The strangest murder in the history of the Latin Quarter was committed in the apartments of a rich Venezuelan lawyer named Fricens. 27 years of age, the victim being Mar guerite Gallier, aged 19. Fricens. it is allegd. made a statement that he had an order from God to purify the world. “I asked Marguerite did she believe in God ? She replied in the negative, and God directed me to make an example of her. I decided to burn her. and set the curtains afire -. but God extin guished the flames.
