N.Z. LADIES* CHAMPIONSHIP. TO-DAY’S PLAY. (Per Press Association). Palmerston N., Sept. 30. Conditions for the ladies’ golf championship were again brilliant this morning, although a fair breeze was in evidence from the east. The greens and fairways are fast and true, the initial round of the championship being productive of some surprises in the narrowness of the victories of some of the more fancied candidates.
