ELECTROCUTED MEN

ARE NOT DEAD. FAMOUS SURGEON’S PROTEST. London Aug. 30. Dr. Claudius, famous Copenhagen physician, in the newspaper Politiken, protests against the “barbarity of the electric ciair” in the United States, declaring that electricity never kills outright, and that it is always possible to save an electrocuted person if prompt action is taken. He insists that most electrocuted men could be called back to life when taken from the electric chair, and adds the sinister suggestion that the executioner’s work in the United States is really performed hy the doctors in their autopsies.
