BRISBANE WOOL SALES. SYDNEY PRICES MAINTAINED. (Received 28, 11.15 a.m.) Brisbane, Sept. 28. At the opening wool sale of season the advances in prices established at the Sydney sales were fully sustained. The demand is keen and the tone is firm. A large proportion of the offerings was thinly grown, dusty and tender, showing the effects of drought. Good rains are now falling in Central Western districts, and portions of the drought areas are benefited.—(A. and N.Z.) LONDON AUCTIONS. (Received 28. 12.30 p.m.) London, Sept. 27. At the wool sales there was a moderate supply of merinos and greasy crossbreds and a good selection of slipes. There was good general competition with prices unchanged.
