RUGBY FOOTBALL
AU BLACK TRIAL BULLER FEELS SLIGHTED. Westport, Sept. 26. To say the non-inclusion of McNeight iu the South Island Rugby trials is disappointing to Bullerifes, is expressing mildly what they feel. McNeight, in the recent trial at Westport, was frankly admitted by both opponents and supporters to be the outstanding forward on the ground, as he has also been in this season’s representative matches. He is young, vigorous and heady, and has all the essentials for a great All Black player, and it is hoped even yet the selectors will realise the injustice done to him and to the Buller Union, which has not a single representative in the teams, and give McNeight a place in futufe trials.
