WHAT DAYLIGHT SAVING BILL WILL DO. SPORTSMEN CONGRATULATE MR SIDEY. Christchurch, September 24. The prediction that New Zealand will be a great cricketing country was made this morning by Mr Reese, chairman of the Cricket Council, when heading a representative deputation to congratulate Mr T. K. Sidey. Cricket, football athletic, tennis, racing and commercial travellers took part. Mr Sidey said there were possible difficulties, but if the svstem were only given a fair trial bv the farmers the difficulties would be removed for all time. It would mean a new era for cricket in New Zealand.
