FINAL EUCHRE PARTY

The final euchre party and dance was held in the school last Friday evening. A large number was present and many regrets were expressed that this was the last of these functions, as a happy time has been spent throughout. The evening’s euchre prizes were awarded as follows Ladies, Mrs Rigby; gentlemen. Mr. Taylor; consolation. Mrs Holt and Mr. Relf. The points prizes for the season were won by Mrs C. H. Thompson and Mr. T. Tait.

After supper Mr Johnson., on behalf of the committee and people of the district, asked Messrs J Chamberlain and J. Hutchinson each to accept a set of handsome cut-glass tumblers and a jug as a token of Appreciation of their generosity in supplying the music foi’ the dancing during the season. The committee also wishes to thank those who have given their assistance towards making these gatherings the huge successes they have been.
