The “Daily frftil” says one fre quentlv sees a person raise his hands to his face t 0 rub the skin, apparently to remove an insect which thev find to he non-existent. A doctor explains that this is a new tic similar to those observed in neurotics. It may be due to the lavish use of cosmetics. causing skin irritation.
The habit is also observable in men who now greatly employ cosmetics. The affection is catchinn. one member infecting a whole family.—(A. and N.Z.)
