WILL THEY PLAY LEAGUE?
PAEWAI AND RURU. NOTHING KNOWN IN OFFICIAL CIRCLES. Auckland, July 15. Nothing is known in either Rugby Union or League official circles regarding the suggestion that Paewai and Ruru will be playing the thirteen aside code on Saturday. The Marist secretary says that Paewai certainly will not be appearing for .that club. [An earlier message appears on page 2.] , Auckland, July 15. The New Zealand Rugby League last evening decided to seek an invitation from the Australian Control Board for a New Zealand team to tour Australia this season. An amendment that Queensland be invited to the Dominion lapsed.
