Daylight Saving

MR. T. K. SIDEY’S BILL. WILL BE GIVEN A FAIR RUN. PREMIER’S STATEMENT. (Per Press Association). Wellington, July 14. The definite statement that he would give Mr. T K. Sidey’s Daylight Saving Bill a fair run, was made by the Prime Minister in reply to a deputation this morning. The deputation represented the Chamber of Commerce, the Manufacturers’ Association, the medical profession and the shipping companies. Mr. Coates said he was inclined to regard the matter from the farmers’ point of view, but did not intend to manipulate any machinery by which the bill might be defeated. The bill would not have his personal support. Hie second reading is set down for to-day.
