IN BRITAIN AND DOMINIONS. MAYORS URGED TO CORRESPOND. (Received 13, 10.20 a.m.) London, July 12. As a means of assisting new settlers and fostering Empire trade, the Lord Mayoi has issued a brochure appealing to the Mayors of the United Kingdom, especially those in towns having namesakes in the dominions, to institute a regular correspondence with the Mayors thereof; also to form committees to encourage migration Similarly, it is urged that Dominion towns should create welfare committees. The Hon L M. Amery, in a foreword, appeals for mutual knowledge of and sympathy with kinsmen overseas.—(A.P.A and “Sun” cable.)
