TAKAPAU.
(Own Correspondent.) A return match between the Takapau and Mount Herbert Golf Ulubs was played on the Takapau links on Saturday when home players won 13 games to Mount Herbert’s 5, and three games were halved. The results were as under, Takapau players being mentioned first:—
Ropata beat Waddington, E. F. Stubbs lost to Peacock. McDonnell beat Witherow, G. S. White beat •Paku. Heperi bea„ Blathwayt, J. Caughley lost to Aitkins, Boyd beat Taylor, 8. Smith beat Staines, Hodge s lost to Harper, Scott lost to Given, S. Stubbs lost to Hyndharn, H. W. White beat Scott, C. C. Callender halved with Murray, T. Prescott beat McKenzie. S. Steven* "beat Sharpin. Rev. H. Blathwayt halved with Moore. N. Caughley beat Adams. J. Smith beat Cook, Father Klemick halved with Thorbuin. G. Davies beat Broad, W. Davies beat Hall. A return football match between the Takapau and Waipukurau schoolboys was played at Takapau on Saturday when after a well contested game the winners (Waipukurau) ran out with a score of 6 points to 3.
