MODERATE CATTLE ENTRY.

FATS EASY IN PRICE. At Waipukurau to-day there was a moderate entry of cattle, including some lines of voung stores. With the exception of one or two pens, the fat cattle lacked finish. Fat cattle were easy in price, while stores were, in keener demand. Sheep were yarded in comparatively short numbers. fat maintaining recent values. Tw 0 pens of prime Suffolks were specially well competed for. Store sheen were very firm, and ewes in lamb were particularly sought after. One line of small but attractive 2-tooths bringing 255. FAT CATTLE. Bullocks: Light prime £9 10s to £9 15s. medium £6 12s to £7 6s. bin unfinished £6 10s; cows.light prime £6 Is. medium £4 15s to £5. Hght £3 18s 6d to £4 9s 6d. unfinished £2 15s: heifers, light prime £5 18s to £6 4s. medium £5 to £5 14s. licht £4 10s. STORE CATTLE. Dairy Cattle: 23 Jer. heifers, 15 in calf Jer., 8 empty, a fair quality line but light condition, and not well gtown, passed at £3 12/6; 8 empty 2year Hol. heifers, fairly well gtown, £1 17/-; 2 2-yr. S.H. heifers in calf Jer. £2; 1 light 2-yr. S.H. heifer, £1 2/6; 4 Jer. heifers in calf Jer., good heifers, non-de-script, in calf Jer., dear at £4 18/6. FAT SHEEP.

Ewes: Extra prime heavy Suffolk ewes 28/-, prime 20/-, light prime passed at 18/-, medium 15/6 to 15/9. Wethers: Prime 26/6, Hoggets: Extra prime heavy Suffolk 24/6, medium 19/-. STORE SHEEP. Ewes: 250 aged ewes in fairly hard store condition i.l. to S.D. and Ryeland passed at 18/-; 153 aged empty ewes, fairly hard, fair frames, passed at 12/3; 235 good guilty, but small even type ewes, ij. to Rom., account W. McKenzie, 25/-; 24 4 and 5-year R.L. ewes i.l.
