WEDDING.

JACKSON—HEYWARD. A pretty and interesting wedding was celebrated in the Takapau Presbyterian C-hurqh on Thursday afternoon, December 29, the contracting parties being Miss Hilda Marjorie Heyward, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs H. M. Heyward, Otawhao, Takapau, and Mr. lirneft Charles Jackson, of Marton. The church was ver v prettily decorated for the occasion by friends of the bride. Mr. Sydney Hewald was at the organ and played the “Wedding March.” The Rev. A. E. Hunt performed the ceremony.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a simple frock of shell pink crepe-de-chine trimmed with silver lace, and her beautifully embroidered veil was held in place by a half circlet of orange blossom. The bridal bouquet of pink roses and asparagus fern was the gift of Mrs W. Smith. The bridesmaid. Miss Constance Heyward, sister of the bride, was gowned in mauve crepe-de-chine suitably trimmed and carried a bouquet of sweetpeas and roses to tone. The bridegroom had with him Mr. W. Anderson as best man. The ha|fl\v couple left for the south on their honeymoon, the bride’s travelling dress being a mauve ensemble suit with hat to match. Mr. and Mrs Jackson carried with them the good wishes of their many friends in the district and the host of wedding presents received testified to their popularity.
