SITEMAN SCHOLARSHIPS

We -ould call the attention oi readerj to a notice appearing in our advertising columns with reference to certain valuable scholarships available for competition to Hawke’s Bay scholars from secondary schools. These scholarships consist of £BO per annum and are tenable for four years at Otago University. The scholarships were instituted by the late Mrs. Isabella Siteman, of Dannevirke, who realised the importance of offering opportunities for advanced education to students who were perhaps not in a position so to extend their education. As will be seen from the advertisement, the scholarships are available for successful competitors between the ages of 16 and 19 years intending to take the course of medicine or science. Full information of the conditions governing the scholarships is in the position of the principal of each secondary school.
