RAID IN HAINING STREET.
CHINESE BEFORE COURT. CHARGE OF GAMING HOUSE KEEPING. Wellington, Aug. 23. Following a raid last night on a Haining streeet house. 28 Chinese were to-day each fined £2 for being found in a common gaming house. Another who had previously been convicted, fined £3. Charges of keeping a house and assisting against three Chin esc, was adjourned for a week, £5O bail being allowed.
