COMPULSORY IN SWEDEN. The Government of Sweden, growing tired of having so many drown ings every year, has started a drastic campaign to force everyone to learn to swim. Hereafter, non-swimming school teachers will not be employed, and boys who can not pass swimming tests will not be passed in their examinations. Non-swimmers will not be named to official positions.
