MAHORA SCHOOL.
A social evening was tendered to Miss R. J. Hodgson, of Mahora School b,v the ladies' social committee and the school Cnimittee. Many parents took the opportunity' of saying farewell to the guest of the evening, and general regret was expressed at her approaching departure. After supper had been served, Mr Lassen, chairman of the school cnimittee, asked Miss Hodgson to accept a manicure set as a token of appreciation. The ladies' committee had noted with pleasure the interest Miss Hodgson had taken in the social activities of the school, and had very much valued her help. While regretting her departure from Mahora School he was pleased to be able to congratulate Miss Hodgson on her well deserved promotion. In reply, Miss Hodgson thanked the donors for their unexpected gift, but said that she required no presentation to remind her of her pleasant stay’ at Mahora School, of her association with the ladies, and school cnimittces. A very pleasant evening was concluded by the singing of “For She's a Jolly Good Fellow.”
