A GRAVE CHARGE.

FOLLOWS CORONER’S VERDICT. Christchurch, Mar. 30. Ernest Abraham Hall Archer, a blacksmith, aged 53, was charged tins morning that ho killed Jessie Wilson by an unlawful act, and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. Bail was not allowed. The police produced a statement in which Archer said the girl died during an act of intimacy in his shop. At the inquest subsequently the coroner’s verdict was that death was due to air embolism, air having been forced into the woman’s body for an unlawful purpose.
