Al A GISTERI AL IN Ql’ IR Y DEMANDED. Eltharn, March 29. 'The adjourned inquest on the Dominion boarding-house fire victims was resumed to-day. Evidence was given by Airs. Taylor, proprietress, and ‘William James Calder, manager. Nothing startling was elicited. Airs. Taylor was almost in a state of collapse, and her evidence was punctuated with sobs and signs of deep emotion. A lady friend attended and soothed the hysterical woman throughout her painful experience. Calder gave evidence in a cool and collected manner., having a clear recollection of the tragic events. It was announced that the Fire Board would demand a magisterial inquiry into the fire. Several witnesses are to be heard, and the proceedings are expected to last all day.
