DEPORTATION.
NEW SOUTH AFRICAN LAWS. Capetown, March 26. The Government, in the face of determined opposition, including Labour, carried a clause empowering the Minister of Justice to deport anyone not born in South Africa for any offence under the insolvency law. Three Labour Ministers were absent to-day. The Prevention of Disorders Bill, published, also empowers deportation after conviction for sedition, and compels natives, after conviction, to reside in certain areas.—(Sydney “Sun” cable).
