FEAR OF BLINDNESS.
AN AUCKLAND SUICIDE. Auckland, Dec. 29. At the inquest on Frank Percy, a middle-aged man, found dead in a hoarding-house, a note written by the deceased stated that his sole reason for suicide was that ho was getting blind. Ho had completely lost the sight of one eye. A sjx.'cialist had confirmed his own suspicion that blindness would shortlv be his fate, and he could not face this. The latter was headed “Dargaville.” The coroner found a verdict of suicide bv poisoning.
