CRIMEAN AND MUTINY VETERAN Wellington, Dec. 28. John McCabe died in the Wellington Public Hospital this naming at the age of 100 years and nine months. He was a native of Ireland. He fought in the Crimean AVar, the Indian Mutiny, and the Maori War, and afterwards settled in the. Rangitikei district. About six years ago ho came to Wellington. He retained all his faculties till quite recently.
