PARKE ISLAND HOME.

COiMMITTEE MEETING. A meeting of the Parke Island Committee was held at the Napier Hospital yesterday afternoon, there being present Messrs J. Harris (chairman), W. Shrimpton, J. B. Andrew, W. H. Rathbone and A. W. Cook. Tenders for supplies to the home were accepted as follows :—Groceries, R. L. Badley; butter. Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co.-op. Association; meat, G. G. Stanford; fish. Boyland Bros. The committee decided to request the Dannevirke Hospital Board to forward th e levy called up at the October meeting of the committee, and to call up from the Hospital Boards the remainder of the levy for the year. The chairman said ho thought the committee would come out with a fairly good credit balance this year. Tlie master reported that there wore 67 males and seven female • inmates Thp statement of receipts and expenditure for the month ended November 30 showed a credit balance of £427 6/7. Vouchers totalling £l6O 16/2 were passed for payment.
