A New Plymouth telegram states that the Kartigi arrived from Tceibourne at 1 p.m. to-day with 3000 sacks of wheat for the port. The New Zealand Government Stores Control Board notifies that the tender of the British Imperial Oil Company, Ltd., has been accepted for the supply of all grades of motor engine lubricating oils. The estimated value of the contract is £7500. As more than sufficient wool was available on December 11 for the next Napier sale to he hold on January 16 and 18. 1926. the H.B. AVoolbrokers’ Association has been compelled to close the catalogues as from that date. The New Zealand Wool Committee’s allocation for next sale is 25.000 hales. A Lands Department report, states that the total expenditure in New ►South Wales on soldier sc* Hement since the inauguration of the scheme amounts to £17,384,539, and 9098 soldiers were allotted farms covering an area, of 8,081,070 acres.
