THE FACT OF RUSSIA.

SPEECH BY MR. MACDONALD. London, Dec. 20. Speaking at Leicester, Mr MacDonald said Russia existed and neither prayers nor armed activity, nor indifference could wipe it out. Britain could do nothing of any importance towards the peace of Europe and the world without becoming aware of the fact that there was a nation and a Government of Russia, with which she must have some relation. Tchitcherin’s visit to Paris was more significant than the Government cared to confess.—(A. and N.Z.)
