M. Belin’s Invention PHOTOGRAPH TRANSMITTED SUCCESSFULLY. AN INGENIOUS APPARATUS. IBy Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (Received 22, 9.45 a.m.) Paris, Dec. 21. In order to demonstrate the advanced state of his television invention, M. Edouard Belin transmittea photographs of the President to the Society of Photographers successfully. The principal component of his machine is a multi-faced mirror mounted on a vertical steel disc. The image to be transmitted is placed between highpowered electric arc lambs and the mirror, which is revolving at a speed < f 4000 revolutions per minute, conducts the light through a wireless transformer.
The ingenious two-way motion of the apparatus enables a flash light to be picked up at the receiving station after a journey through space and the mystery coils of Belin’s inventions.
