CHECK ON SHIPMENTS ABROAD. (Received 4, 11.25 a.m.) Tokio, Nov. 3. With a view to checking the increasing tendency for smuggling gold from the country, and also in line with the Government’s ban on luxuries through tho imposition of high, duties on luxurious articles, the Government has issued instructions to substitute current markei rates for the former fixed rate for sales of gold bars.—(Aj. and N.Z.) .
