WIRELESS WONDERS.

NEW RECORD CLAIMED. During tho last week or two there have been a number of records claimed by New Zealand amateur wireless enthusiasts (says the “Otago Daily Times.”) Tho setting ud of two-way communication between New Zealand and England by Messrs F. Bell (Waihemo) and R. Slade and W. L. Shiel (Dunedin) was in itself a great performance. but on Thursday night Mr Slade achieved something which probably eclipses all previous efforts, and which he claims to be a record. This was the setting up of communication with England, Chile, Los Angeles, Australia, and New Zealand in ona night. As Mr Slade says, ho only. needed tho communicate with South Africa to have been in touch with all parts of the world. Mr Slade states that the total mileage connected was 57,500.
