CANADA WANTS PREFERENCE. Victoria (8.C.), Oct. 21. A delegation from the British Columbia timber trade interviewed the Prime Minister (Mr. Mackenzie King), who is on a visit here, and told him that the inclusion of timber products in Australia’s preference to Canada would mean an additional annual shipment of lumber from here to the Con|monwealth of 140,000,0001 t., roughly 40 complete cargoes. Tho Premier promised to make representations with the object of capturing the whole lumber and sash, door trade with Australia if possible.
