A Christchurch telegram states that four cases of whisy, valued at £24, were stolen from the railway goods shed on Saturday night. The police so far have made one arrest, Alister McMillan, aged 20, who is alleged to be concerned hvith others. The important sale of properties in the estate of the late H. J. The country is. at present carrying 10,650 eheep, besides 220 head ofi cattle ana 7 horses. The Mangateretere property consists of 92 acres, with two frontages, and for all classes of farming cannot be excelled. There are no buildings on this place- The Havelock North lot, of 4 acres, forms one of the finest residential sits on the hills, and should be eagerly sought after.
