So far it had persistently refused. This is a great step forward towards final settlement of the question of military control. It is all the more satisfactory since there is well grounded suspicion that Germany continues to hide arms and produce new weapons. Even Krupp's has been discovered endeavouring to disguise rifle barrels as castings :nd traincar axles.—(Times.) REICHSTAG ELECTIONS. NATIONALIST OBJECT LESSON FROM BRITAIN. (Received 3, 9.45 a.m.) London, Nov. 2. “The Times” Berlin correspondent says:—Realising their election prospects are none too bright, the German Nationalists are attempting to ijjnke party capital out of the British Conservative success. The Nationalist press- loudly acclaim the advent of what it calls a strong Nationalist Government in and evidently hopes to induce the German -hetorate to vote Nationalist, thus, imitating the British political good sense. It is doqbtful. he adds, whathor Gelman voters will realise in time that the German Nationalists have hardly aiything in common with the British Conservatives.—(Times.) LESE MAJESTE. LUDENDORFF CONVICTED LY COURT OF HONOUR. (Received 3, 9.45 a.m.) Berlin, Nov 2 Twenty-seven Bavarian generals held a court of honour and decided that Ludendorff had been guilty of disloyalty because he alleged * that the former Crown Prince Rupprecht broke his promise to assist Herr Hitler in an atempt to overthrow the Republic. The sentence was that Ludendorff is to be socially boycotted.—(A. and N.Z.) •
