Wlni the Spaniards, who were besieged iu Totuan. were relieved, General d« Rivera summoned the only officer remaining alive, Lieutenant Decamps, to give am account of the siege. He ac.cif sod Decamps -of cowardice. Decamps fired a revolver at General uo Rivera, wounding him in the arm. Ho was court martialled and shot.
