There were wild acenes at the reburial of the Irish executed. , Women standing behind civilian mourners for 17 buried in GJasnevin cemetery. Dublin, handed each man a revolver to fire a volley. Troops rushed the graveside after the first shot. The crowd stampeded,* and wreaths were trampled on and womqn fell into the grave. Others were in* jurea. The military intervened during the burial, at Dundalk, v County Ix>uth, of «ix of those executed*. A civilian fired a revolver and the crowd became pnpicstricken, Civilians and, troops exchanged sliots behind headsfonds.—(Sydupy. “Sun” cable).
