• With 149,242 postage stamps, representing nearly every nation, the Rev. A. Bucci, of Burbak, California, has papered two rooms of his house. Mr T. M. Wilford’s Agricultural Bank Bill was introduced in the House of Representatives on Wednesday. Iu reply to tho Prime Minister, Mr. Wil ford said the bill was the same as the one he proposed last year. Mr. W. H. Field (Otaki) has given notice to ask the Minister of Railway* whether he will consider the question of a special rate, being a small margin over actual cost, for the conveyance by rail of sea-sand, to meet tho require ments of horticulturists, nurserymen, domain hoards, bowling and golf clubs, and others, who find that the mixture of sea-sand with stiff and heavy adds very materially to tho friability and fertility of sucli soils.
