MIXERS AND TRANSPORT WORKERS.

A joint committee of milling employers and the Miners’ Federation again discussed the miners’ wages demands. The owners definitely offered an increase of the minimum wage to 3(1 per cent, above 1911 and to revise the ratio of proceeds paid to wages and profits, making the proportions 85 anil 15 respectively. The delegate conference of miners to-morrow will consider the offer.
The demands of the Transport W orkers’ Union to increase the wages of 17,00(1 London tramwaymen by 8/wcekly is the subject of critical discussions in London. Strike action, possibly involving busmen and underground railwaymen, is threatened failing a settlement.—(Reuter.)
