CHURCH NOTES.
In the Seventh Day Adventist Church to-morrow evening the subject of the Babylonian Captivity and th< Restoration will lie considered. The Rev. P. Ramsay in St. Andrew’s Church at the morning service to-mor-row will deal with the World's Student Christian Federation, and in the even ing with “What Christ is to the Whol< World.” The Rev. T. Keith Ewen will conduct both services at the HastingBaptist Church to-morrow. His morning subject will be “The Battle is th< Lord’s” and in the evening “The Story of an Unselfish Devotion.” Communion service will follow. Much has been spoken recently upon the dead. Where are they, and does death end all? Will millions now living and multitudes now dead never livt again? The.se questions answered in free lecture, “The Silence of the Dead,” to be given in Orange Hall Lyndon road, Hastings, on Sunday next at 7 p.m. At the Methodist Church to-morrov the morning service will be'conducted by the Rev. M. A,. Rugby Pratt, a former minister of the church. Th< Rev. A. Mcßean will conduct the evening service, which will be attended b> local members of the Students’ Christian Union. To-morrow is the universal day of prayer for students, and the evening service and address will have special reference to the origin and achievements of the World’s Student Christian Federation. At 2.30 a combined Bible Class meeting will be held, and will be addressed by the Rev. M. A. R. Pratt. The Young Men’s Mission Band will conduct the service at Pakowhai at 7 o’clock.
