BRITISH AGRICULTURE
SUBSIDY ON ARABLE LAND. MINIMUM WAGE STIPULATION. (Received 16, 10.5 a.m.) London, Nov. 15. It is understood the Cabinet has approved of the proposal to assist agriculture by a subsidy of £1 per acre on all arable land on condition that a minimum of 30/- weekly is paid labourers by the applicant, the subsidy to be estimated on the present acreage. The maximum cost of the subsidy will be £11,000,000 annually.—(Reuter.) '
