FIRES.

SCHOOL PARTIALLY GUTTED. Auckland, Nov. 14. A fire broke out at the Epsom main school at 10 o’clock to-night. It had a good hold when discovered, but brigades made a good save. Three rooms were gutted, and two badly damaged. About four others are intact. The school has a roll of 860. The cause of the fire is unknown. INCENDIARISM AT NEWMARKET. Auckland East, Nov. 15. The report upon the recent fire at Newmarket School received by the Newmarket Borough Council from the Captain of the Volunteer Fire'Brigade stated that all the circumstances pointed to the fire being a clear case of incendiarism ,and the police had the matter in hand.
