HIGH COMMISSIONER’S RECEPTION.

London, Nov. 14. The Prince of Wales granted an audience lasting sixty minutes to Mr. Massey at St. James’ Palace. Sir James and Lady Allen tendered a reception to Mr. Massey at the Imperial Institute. Over 1000 guests were present, including the Duke of Devonshire and other Cabinet Ministers. It was the largest gathering of New Zealanders ever held in London and was a great social success. The courts of the institute were beautifully decorated with flowers and were thrown open to the guests. As the evening advanced the guests concentrated in a quaintly carved Ceylon court, where dancing continued till midnight.
