TAXATION OF BETTING
BRITISH COMMITTEE’S REPORT.
London, Nov. 14. Th© “Daily Express” says the draft report of the Betting Taxation Committee suggests an ad valorem tax of per cent on all transactions, which means a stamp, giving a revenue of £5,000,000. It is proposed to legalise betting.—(A. and N.Z.)
