The evening portion of the display was varied and entertaining. The Citizens' Band was in attendance and played selections. One of the principal attractions was, of course, the gymnastic work, some of which was done in the gymnasium and some on the lawn outside. The gymnasts were, .without exception, a credit to their instructor and some very skilful exhibitions were seen. Enjoyable concert items were given in the lounge, the performers being, the Y.M.C.A. Orchestra, Elocution Chib, Mrs Burton, Alisses Ford. Gray and Harrison, and Mr. Lindsay. The Camera Club’s exhibition of photographs was an interesting feature, about 100 prints being shown, many of a high standard of skill. Demonstrations of various branches of scoutcraft by the scouts and boxing and wrestling were -continuous throughout the evening. Between 9 and 10 p.man excellent supper was served, after which an exhibition of roller skating took place in the gymnasium. One of the liveliest: £nd best displays tho Y.M.C.A. has produced in Hastings was concluded with a very boisterous and brightly cheerful social and dance.
