THE HICKSON MISSION.
OPENS AT NELSON. CURES REPORTED. Nelson, Nov. 13. The Hickson healing mission was opened to-day. From 8.30 there was a procession of motor cars conveying sufferers to All Saints Church, where there was a very large attendance. Several patients have already received benefit. In one instance a young lady who has had to wear glasses for 26 years was able to discard them after the service. She was able to read the cloest print. In another case a young lady was stated to have been cured of deafness. In company with her mother she’ called on an officer of the church, who commenced speakmg to her when the mother interjected, “It is no use speaking to her. she can’t tear. “Yes I can, mother,” exclaimed the daughter, “I can hear every word.” And thereafter she conversed withouu finding any difficulty in hearing. Another case is one where a resident v-lio lias suffered from a defect in one of his thighs for several years has received benefit. He stated that he had teen unable to l fl ce up his boot for two years, but after attending the mission was able to do so. Ho also stntedj and gave a demonstration, that he could move his limb with much greater freedom than heretofore.
