H.M.S. CHATHAM.
VISIT TO SYDNEY. (Received 16, 12.50 p.m.) Sydney, March 10. Captain Crawford, Superintendent of Garden Island, paid an official call on the Chatham officers. The latter will bo entertained by the State Ministry on Tuesday> and the men will be given a picnic at the National Park. Commodore Hotham said the visit Was a step in the co-grdination of the defences of the Empire. It was an Unique event, and he hoped it would be the forerunner of further visits.
