AUSTRALIAN LABOUR PARTY.

SPLIT IN NEW SOUTH WALES. (Received 16, 12.550 p.m.) Sydney, March 16. The State Parliamentary Labour Party split over the Dooley—MdGirr dispute. -A meeting of the caucus discussed a motion whether Mr Dooley was eligible to be present in view of his expulsion. The motion was affirmed by 16 votes to 13, whereupon Mr MeGirr, with nine followers, left the meeting.

The caucus,, by 23 votes to one, protested against the action of the executive appointing the leader of the party. It is thought the executive to-nignt will probably expel the 16 who supported Mr Dooley.—(A. and N.Z.)
