CENTRAL POWER BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. (Special to “Tribune.”) Waipukurau, March 7. The Central Hawke’s Bay Power Board held its second monthly meeting to-day. Present: Messrs. C. Pattison (chairman)., T. Butler, W. H. Rathbone. W. Malenoir and E. A. Googer. , An account for £23 from the Patangata County Council for Power Board election expenses was held over. The Public Works Department acknowledged advice re election of chairman and secretary. The Dannevirke Power Board forwarded information regarding preliminary finance to defray expenses till loan money, was available.—Letter received, the secretary stating that the board was not in immediate need of monev. The financial position, was £22 11/9‘in the bank and £56 owing to local bodies, excluding ejection expenses. It was decided to write to the I üblic Works Department for information when power is available, and to sit tight till a board is formed in Northern Hawke’s Bay. It was resolved to meet in future at 10 a.m. on the first Tuesday of the month instead of Wednesday, as at present. Accounts amounting to £5 15/6 were passed for payment. . .„
