LIQUOR FOR MEDICINAL USE. Washington, Dec. 9. The American Medical Association which recently approved of the use of whisky medicinally, asked Mr. Mellon to permit a physician to prescribe mare than a pint of whisky per patient every ten days. It also askea that the Government arrange for shopfc to be supplied with bonded liquors exclusively as a guard against inferior or deleterious liquor, which were all physicians oft-times were able to obtain, none other being available saw through purchase from illicit sources. Mr. Mellon promised to take tl|e matter under consideration.
