VAINLY HOARDED.

HUGE STOCKS OF TEXTILES.

DEMOBILISATION SEQUEL.

London, Nov. 25. According to the “Pall Mall Gazette,” the Disposals Board has thrown on the market 3,000,000 yards of woollen tweeds and serges, and 7,000,000 yards of linings qnd trimmings. These materials were hoarded for the demobilisation of former service men, who were given the alternative of a new suit of “civvies” or its cash value. The latter proved the more popular. The textile trade is anxious regarding the effect on unemployment if these huge stocks are unloaded en masse.
