HASTINGS CARNIVAL.

SELECTION OF CARNIVAL SLOGAN. • The Publicity Committee, after carefully considering over three hundred suggested slogans in answer to the advertisement, decided to award the prize of £1 1/- to “Senda Check,’ c/o N.Z. Blind Fund, Tribune Office, Hastings. The slogan submitted was considered the best from the number received but it was not selected by the committee as the carnival week slogan. The decision was agreed upon as follows: — ‘Hastings Promises Progress and Pleasure.”
